Hanjin is THE “jacks of all trades” in Asia. He is an award-winning record producer, songwriter and singer and a trend-setting arranger and mixer, an award winning actor and well-known television personality.

Born and educated in Singapore, Hanjin Tan is a renowned musician based in Hong Kong, who debuted as a songwriter on Canto-pop singer Jacky Cheung's No Regrets album in 1998. Hanjin has composed over 400 songs ever since and is known for creating edgy music and developing album concepts for Chinese records in the Chinese and South East Asian markets.

In 2004, Hanjin formed a music production team called “The Invisible Men” with fellow producers and arrangers Alex Fung, Kenneth Tse, and Tim Ngoh. Together, they brought new vibes to the industry and opportunities to work with international acts came along the way - in 2007, he produced a song for international sensation Christina Aguilera and Korean pop idol Rain for a Pepsi campaign.

Aside from composing, arranging and producing, Hanjin is also an acclaimed jazz singer.
Raw Jazz, his debut jazz album that was released in March 2009, received praise from reviews in South China Morning Post, Intoxicate magazine and TIME magazine. Moreover, Hanjin’s inimitable arrangement of Antonio Carlos Jobim’s “Wave” earned the top spot on the Quote International Music Chart of FM 90.3, one of the most popular radio channels in Hong Kong.

Recognized for his musical talent, Hanjin had been invited as a guest performer at various events, such as the 2009 Singapore Grand Prix, A-list Chinese singer Sammi Cheng’s 2009-2010 Love Mi Concert and the 2011 Cape Town Jazz Festival.

Hanjin is also known for his work with International Freestyle Rap Champion MC Jin. In July 2010, they released a collaborative album titled Buy1Get13, which topped the sales charts in Hong Kong for three consecutive weeks.

As his success and popularity quickly rose, Hanjin was asked to join the judging panel for The Voice Season 2 and The Global Chinese Singing Contest, which are two of the highest-rated programs broadcasted by TVB, the #1 television channel in Hong Kong.

In the 2010 film Bruce Lee: My Brother, Hanjin participated in his first movie role and his performance went on to win him “Best New Performer” at the prestigious 2011 Hong Kong Film Awards.
